More Nostalgia

There were actually some nifty parts of the 70s.  Here's something that I sang to, over and over and over again, as a kid.

  1. Oh, thank god this wasn't Me and My Arrow, which has been ricocheting off my cranial walls for decades. Me and my arrow, straight up and narrow, wherever we go, everyone knows, it's me and my arrow. Make it stop!

  2. Me and my arrow, taking the high road, wherever we go everyone knows, it's me and my arrow. I could continue, but would prefer that you slap me silly.

  3. I aim to avoid the obvious! Sorry to have pressed that play button in your head--but I spent an evening with Harry Nilsson on Pandore and remembered only the good bits of the 70s

  4. You're younger than I am, Desiree. My nostalgia for these artists is from when they were actual rockers...

  5. M: Clearly you're younger than me!
    P: Does Nilsson Shmilsson count?

  6. I remember those creepy shows on Saturday where kids mimicked teenagers. Rock and roll bands and such. It seemed wrong. In terms of cartoons, i was a purist preferring Disney over Astro Boy (which at that time we associated with Made in Japan cheap) Times have changed. Who knew? ...on a rhetorical comment like "who knew" are you supposed to use an exclamation mark or a question mark?

  7. PA: Who knows?
You had an aesthetic sensibility I did not. If it was animated and on Saturday morning I was there. Although the black and white Japanese cartoons did creep my mother out, so she wouldn't let us watch em. Besides Speed Racer, I mean.
