Have a lotta burrata

Have you tried this yet? It's balls of mozzarella cheese filled with cream. Available in sealed transparent tubs at Trader Joe's, they float unappetizingly along. I never would have tried it, except a colleague served it at her home. One bite, and I was smitten!

Drain the mozzarella balls. Drizzle with top quality olive oil, scatter a bit of sea salt, sprinkle with basil. A wonderful treat particularly when it's too hot to cook. Use crusty bread to sop up the salty olive oil. Delish!

  2. I confess. I've never had burrata, but it looks and sounds wonderful. At first I thought this was a post about goat meat, birria. I"m always confusing those two.
