 Childhood foods include:

4. Bugles

3. Doritos dipped in sour cream.
(Wanna go upscale? Add pickled jalapenos to the sour cream)

2. Homemade divinity fudge. We made it one New
Year's Eve-it was so wonderful I ate it until I got sick.  I haven't touched the stuff since.

1. Underwood deviled ham on soft white bread, interrupted by mayonnaise and a leaf of lettuce.

What about you?

  1. Kraft Macaroni and Cheese. I still miss it.

  2. That's so funny that you should bring up Bugles, because I bought a big bag of them at Rite Aid last week. They weren't nearly as good as I remembered.

Favorite childhood foods: Black olives, lifesavers, blue cheese, the crackling on a pork roast, Stripe gum, and Bugles.

  3. PB: Well, Trader Joe's has a box, doesn't he?
M:Still love 'em. AH: Thanks for the warning! And for reminding me of Lifesavers. There was something hypnotic about contemplating all those possible colors and flavors...

  4. You can get Bugles at the 99 cent store along with scooter pies

english muffin and oat meal and grandmas
chicken and dumplings ozark style at the other grandma

and of course, carver carmel crunches (after carver elementary school Huntington/San Gabriel blvd). I worked so hard to make them, took them to a bloggers picnic and the only one who would touch them was the hiker - and she agreed - they were delicious
