It's back--

Dine LA! Once again, check out three courses at the swank or trendy, lunch from $16, dinner tops out at $44. The week runs Jan 24th to Jan 29th, and Jan 31 to Feb 5th. Maybe this time I can swing lunch at Angeli Cafe. I haven't been there in at least a decade.

  1. I was disappointed in how few Pasadena restaurants are participating this year. I think I counted two.

Still think the best deal is that 3-course + glass of wine at Mozza Osteria for $35.

  6. Sounds like fun but a little out of my price range. Have you ever dined at that little restaurant next to the cooking school on Green? I pass by sometimes on my evening walks. Curious as to your opinion.

  7. PA: Haven't tried it, but have heard good things.
CO: At a conference in San Jose I ate at the Il Fornaio there. So much better than Pasadena. Who knows why?
    M: Ready!

  8. PA: You speaking about The School Cafe? Have tried it. Hit & Miss, depending on what you order. They are students afterall. Prices seem reasonable.

  9. CO: the highest bill I was ever slapped with was the worst meal I ever paid for. Hit and miss I can live with if it's cheap.

  10. I've had some good meals at Il Fornaio, or maybe I just like the place. One of my favorite restaurants in Pas is The Raymond.

Des, I thought I saw the promise of something slowcooked on this blog.
