I'm taking the slow boat to the holiday season--

However, here are seven personal favorites:

Lemon bars
Pecan bars
Pumpkin bread pudding
Shortbread
Biscotti
Ginger snaps
Brownies

    As I was pondering whether to admit I'd only SEEN David Copperfield rather than read David Copperfield, you came up with a new post. Whew. (Micawber will always be WC Fields to me.)

    Ah, Dickens redux--
    In my jeunesse I maintained Ronald Colman's Tale of Two Cities was superior to the novel, and stated that in my college application.
    They let me in, anyway.
    Just a testament to the beauty of those adaptations.

    I make excellent granola. It's about the only excellent thing I make, but my neighbor gave me a recipe for cranberry salad that I'm going to try.
